Seven years ago, I purchased an identical timer on Amazon, which provided me with six years of seamless service. Regrettably, I cant recall the exact reason for its failure, but I was delighted to discover that I could replace it with the same model. In the meantime, I tried a Dramm timer, which proved to be unreliable at times. The Gardena timer was temporarily unavailable, leading me to believe it had been discontinued. The new timer arrives on a multilingual bubble card, sans English, leaving the features somewhat mysterious. Operating the timer is intuitive, albeit the flow control wasnt clearly explained in the original packaging. Even on the new packaging, if present, its function remains unclear. Upon contacting [email protected], I learned that the flow control, indicated by a tiny hourglass symbol, is located between O and 120 minutes. Its a ribbon/arrow that adjusts flow, but interestingly, this function works only in the continuous mode and not the timed cycle. As I can regulate the flow manually using the faucet, this engineered feature seems unnecessary for my needs. Over the years, this product has significantly reduced water waste, especially when filling the horse tub or watering a young tree near the barn. Previously, wed often forget to turn off the water after use. However, I dont operate the timer during colder months to avoid potential damage from frozen water. A simple reminder during these few winter months is a clothespin clipped to our clothing, which we remove once we remember to turn off the timer. An appreciated addition is the quick connect feature, one of which comes bundled with the timer. Previously, Ive purchased more of these connectors, particularly the Y connector, all of which have proven durable. Based on my personal experience with Gardena products, I wholeheartedly recommend their reliability and effectiveness

The Comment: Ive been struggling with water pressure issues in my city, especially during high-traffic times. After countless attempts with other impact sprinklers, I decided to try Rain Birds high volume timer. Although it struggled to maintain consistent pressure, the passes-through caused a significant decrease in water flow, making it difficult for my garden to be properly watered. After numerous failures, I decided to purchase a Gardena timer with a high volume feature, hoping that it would solve my problem. Unfortunately, the reviews were quite negative, with some claiming to have encountered technical errors. Despite these challenges, I was able to achieve irrigation bliss with my new timer, ensuring that both my rainbirds and the lawn were watered evenly and efficiently. Overall, the decision to invest in a high volume rain bird timer proved to be the most effective solution.

This item is fantastic and prevents waterlogging. I adore the way I can activate my sprinkler for 30 minutes and then embark on an hour-long bike ride during the early morning hours without requiring assistance from someone else. You will never experience the OMG, I forgot to turn off the sprinkler! sensation again.

The Gardenia manual timer is undoubtedly the most reliable timer I have used, surpassing all others. I have never experienced it failing and leaving the water running after the designated time. However, if you plan to let the water run unattended for a set duration, I strongly recommend installing two timers in series as a fail-safe measure. This way, one timer can act as a backup in case the other malfunctions
