Gardena products are consistently outstanding. As a lightweight individual, I find it challenging to manage a heavy hose reel and hose; my strength simply isnt up to the task. However, with this particular model and the Gardena hose, portability is no issue. The lightweight hose is so easy to wind up that its done within a minute. Assembly did require some assistance to keep the stand steady while attaching it to the holder, but once that was done, it was smooth sailing. Im also delighted with the range of attachments that effortlessly click on without any need for screws. Theyre designed thoughtfully and built to last a lifetime with proper care

Everyone is familiar with the large, bulky Gardena metal hose reels – a classic sight in many gardens and a nostalgic reminder of childhood. However, balconies and smaller patios present a different challenge: space is limited, making these unwieldy hose reels impractical. Thankfully, Gardena offers more compact and space-saving solutions. Our balcony lacks a water connection, so we water our plants using an adapter connected to the kitchen faucet. To avoid a hose sprawling across the balcony, we opted for this hose reel. While assembly requires a bit of fiddling, it is straightforward and quick. One end of the outdoor hose connects inside the reel, while the other end attaches to the sprinkler. For water to reach the reel from the kitchen, theres an additional water connection on the outside where we connect the indoor hose leading from the kitchen faucet. Unwinding the hose is smooth and effortless. The reel remains stable with a low center of gravity, preventing any tipping. The hose glides evenly without tangling. Rewinding is equally easy thanks to the sturdy and smooth-operating crank. The high-quality material is exceptionally weather-resistant. Our reel has weathered months of exposure on the balcony, enduring winter conditions and even Aprils heavy rainfall without a scratch. While theres not much to say about a hose reel, it should at least fulfill its basic requirements – and this one does! We are very satisfied. It takes up minimal space, effortlessly accommodates a 15m hose, and boasts impressive weather resistance. We highly recommend it!
