I bought this hose connector to mount on a wooden post, which was easy to do with the two pre-drilled holes. Its designed for the smaller hose fittings. Interestingly, theres a built-in strainer thats revealed when you unscrew the connector. While I think its a good idea in theory, I can see how it could become tricky keeping track of all the potential strainer locations with multiple Gardena products. Youll need the 2773 connector and the corresponding pipe to connect it to the pipeline system

This water dispenser is brilliant and highly versatile. It can be directly connected to a 25mm supply pipe using a 3/4 male adapter, or mounted at approximately 90 cm on a pillar or house wall. To achieve this, simply divert the underground supply pipe upward with an L-shaped fitting to a wooden pillar, then attach the water dispenser (as shown in the photo). The drainage coupling features a reliable shut-off valve and is incredibly flexible. I removed the coupling and directly attached the Gardena Flex Control – no additional adapters were needed! This is a perfect solution that saves you the hassle and expense of installing a complex outdoor faucet from other suppliers. For those who prefer a ground-level water outlet, I strongly recommend the reliable Valve Box VBA 17186 by Rain Bird; you can read more about my reasons in my product review. Its disappointing that Gardena doesnt promote such ideas themselves, as finding a straightforward solution for connecting an irrigation controller to an underground supply pipe can be challenging. Underground valves are not recommended due to their unreliable performance and higher installation and maintenance costs. I hope this information has been helpful, and I would be delighted to receive your feedback
