Pruning shears perform exceptionally well, with the anvil-style model being superior to the scissors variety. This type has stood the test of time and has been used by me personally for over 30 years without fail. As I own a substantial amount of trees on my property, I must carefully maintain these branches. To ensure their safe removal, I prefer to bring my garbage bin to the area where the branches are located, trim them into smaller pieces, and they are left clean. I recently attempted to use my wifes shears, which were valued at over $90, but they are no match for the superior performance and durability of the anvil-style pruning shears from GARDENA.
