Im tired of dealing with dripping hoses that make tasks seem like chores – although this option may be expensive – the locking mechanism and recoil system are impressive examples of superior engineering. I believe that this product will last for many years because its so durable, in fact, I purchased a second one for the purpose of using it at my cottage. Installation is straightforward, I recommend creating a template and giving it some height to accommodate for longer distance use – highly recommended.

The hose box is, in my opinion, made of too much plastic, but it is nevertheless of very high quality. I have still mounted the box in a shady spot, as I assume that the UV radiation will affect the plastic over the years (despite the advertised UV resistance). The built-in guide mechanism that always winds the hose onto the reel correctly ensures that the rewinding process works smoothly from any position. The spring is strong enough to retract the 30-meter hose even when it is full. This is a real time-saver! The actual hose itself is of the usual Gardena quality. I would recommend this to anyone who is tired of constantly winding and unwinding the garden hose, even if it is already on a hose reel
